Accessibility Support and Training
If you work with Communications when developing a product, publication, or website, accessibility is included as part of that process. Choose this service if you’ve independently developed something (e.g., presentation, recording, progress report, handout) and you need it to be made accessible to people with disabilities and compliant with your client’s accessibility requirements.

Proofreading
If you work with Communications when developing a product, publication, or website, proofreading is included as part of that process. Choose this service if you’ve developed something independently and you need it to be proofread to ensure it is clean and error-free. Please allow adequate time in your schedule for the team to review your product.

Develop a publishing strategy, select an external publisher, and negotiate publishing agreements.

Assistance with obtaining a copyright, granting permissions for your own work, or requesting permissions for other’s work.

Develop clear and compelling reports, briefs, toolkits, and other written products that are useful for your target audiences. Ensure that your product receives the appropriate review and support, as required by the agency’s quality assurance process.

Develop a brief, blog, or LinkedIn article highlighting your thought leadership that provides important, actionable information and recommendations for state and local policymakers and decision makers and promotes relevant services or other revenue-generating work.
Events, Conferences, & Webinars

Developing and Promoting Webinars
Support for pre- and post-event activities, including coaching, creating registration pages, developing presentations (PowerPoint) and programming, and marketing.

Presenting & Representing WestEd at Conferences/Events
Promote your presentation, develop networking strategies, and request display materials and logistical support. Collaborate with the Communications Department at 12–15 agency supported conferences each year.

Design, Websites, & Digital Media

Graphic Design and Formatting
Graphic design services, including designing and formatting publications, presentations, and proposals; creating graphics, data visualizations, project logos, and visual identities; designing social media posts, flyers, and brochures; providing relevant photos; and developing templates for briefs and reports.

Video, Audio, and Podcast Production
Video and audio recording of both onsite and virtual events, including interviews, webinars, classroom instruction, and multimedia presentations. Support ranges from pre-production (e.g., consultation, concept development, storyboarding) to post-production (e.g., editing, animation/graphics, voiceover) and accessibility (e.g., audio descriptions, closed captioning, transcripts).

Website Design and Development
Create new websites or redesign existing ones with a focus on accessibility, clarity, and ease of use. Ensure that your website receives the appropriate review and support, as required by the agency’s quality assurance process. Services include branding and visual design, newsletter templates (Mailchimp), analytics, user experience (UX) research, usability testing, domains, and hosting considerations. Request support for your custom web application, website, or anything covered by your Service Level Agreement.

Promote your product, service, or event. Support ranges from quick, short-term promotion to strategic communication plans extending over many months and across multiple channels such as WestEd.org, E-Bulletin, social media, and email outreach.
